Teens at dawn=oh so wrong

I have to say that if I had to choose any school to go to, it would be Warwick. You might be surprised, but I actually like school. However, each day I dread going to school because I have to wake up at 5:30am to catch the school bus at 6:30am. Classes start at 7:10am. Personally, I think it's insane for teenagers to wake up this early. I sit through 4 periods trying to focus and keep myself awake. I wouldn't mind starting school around 9 or 10am and going until 3 or 4pm. I know that this won't really happen but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to write a blog about it. Maybe someone of authority will see the pure misery in this blog and see that teenagers want a later start in the day. Ha-ha, we shall see!

Well don't give up so easy. How can you make it happen? Research has shown that teenage brains don't wake up until 10 am or so. Teenagers generally need a lot more sleep than adults or seniors. Look at CNN.com and listen to what Sanjay Gupta, MD has to say on this topic. Start a petition in town and let the organizers to be know that teenagers want to start school at a later time.

Who knows you might get your wish or a future class might get YOUR wish.
