Whatever happened to school fieldtrips?

Throughout eight years of being in the Warwick school system, I have always had at least one fieldtrip a year. Our taxes pay for it, so why not take advantage? I have finally reached my second year of high school, and fieldtrips for classes are pretty much nonexistant until the big senior trip. I love fieldtrips! It's not only a day away from the same building we enter everyday for six hours and forty minutes, but it's a different and better way to learn something. If money really is that big of an issue, then why can't we raise it? We raise money for everything else that doesn't pertain to our school. So I really don't see the problem. I WANT MORE FIELDTRIPS! Do you?
