Today high school students are working harder than ever before to get into college and become successful in today’s society. Between SAT and ACT prep, SAT and ACT exams, guidance counselor visits, making college location and course decisions, and determining your college finances, there is a lot to think about and do. Next, there’s the application process, which of course, costs money. Then, you have to wait to be accepted. I know this process has been a ritual since the beginning. However, it seems the process has become more of a hassle.
Good grades are the basis to getting into a good college. Secondly, community service is looked at. Helping your community shows that you are well rounded, giving and you have some work experience. Last but not least, after school activities. After school activities are important because it shows that you are a team player and once again, well rounded.
In the end, with the subject of college, there is a lot to think about. And that is just the beginning of thinking. Then you have to figure out what you’re going to do with the rest of your life! But it all comes down to you, and how far you want to take yourself. Only you can determine your abilities and only you can make the decisions.

You kids have a lot of pressure on you in today's society. However, American students are far behind in academia, compared to most of Europe and Asia. You kids are America's future and we need you!
I am so grateful there are students like this who are thinking about their future and ours. Thank you.
