The Great Debaters

The Great Debaters was a drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College in Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school's first debate team, which went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship. This, unlike "The Kite Runner" was based within our own country. It's scary to think that our country at one time was so against a certain race, that they would treat them so horribly. This is a must see movie. It's a real eye-opener for everyone of every race. It's a feel good movie that will brighter your outlook on the American people. You can see The Great Debaters in most theaters, so check it out!
